What are Sexually Transmitted Diseases? Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are serious, sometimes painful diseases that can cause severe damage to your body if not treated. Some STDs infect only your sexual and/or reproductive organs; whereas, others can cause damage throughout the entire body.
When left untreated, STD's can cause life-threatening consequences.
