Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are serious, sometimes painful diseases that can cause severe damage to your body if not treated. Some STDs infect only your sexual and/or reproductive organs; whereas, others can cause damage throughout the entire body. When left untreated, STDs can cause life-threatening consequences.
